Civil Construction Pre-Employment Program

Civil Contractors Federation (CCF) Tasmania and TasTAFE, supported by the Tasmanian Government, are running a pre-employment training program to upskill people to join the civil construction industry.

Training will commence on the 6th March 2023 and you’ll graduate the program in April, undertaking work placements with host employers.

This is a free program, 5 days per week over 6 weeks. The first 4 weeks will be classroom and practical training followed by a 2-week work placement with a host employer from the industry.

You’ll graduate with all the skills needed to enter the industry – one that is desperately seeking workers.

You’ll get all your Personal Protective Equipment, Medium Rigid drivers’ licence, Construction White Card, Traffic Management qualifications, First Aid, and lots of other accredited and non-accredited training. You’ll be well on your way to obtaining your Certificate III in Civil Construction.

You’ll also be given support to be placed with employers, build your resume, develop interview skills and to find a job.
